Quvvat IClari taxminan chiziqli regulyatorlarga va kommutatsiya regulyatorlariga bo'linadi.
Tegishli chiqish shakllari sifatida chiziqli regulyatorlar faqat pastga tushib, kirish voltajidan pastroq kuchlanishni chiqarishi mumkin.
Kommutatsiya regulyatorlari erkinlik darajasiga ega va chiqish shakllari quyidagi 4 turni o'z ichiga oladi:
・The step-down output voltage is lower than the input voltage
・Boost output voltage higher than input voltage
・The buck-boost output is a constant voltage, regardless of the level of the input voltage
・Inverted from positive voltage and output negative voltage
Bundan tashqari, kommutatsiya regulyatorlarini tuzatish usullari sinxron rektifikatsiya va-sinxron bo'lmagan rektifikatsiya (diodli rektifikatsiya) hisoblanadi.
